Until March 22, 1996, I can say I did not like Country Music. March 22 changed my musical tastes forever. My daughter and I attended a concert at the Patriot Center, Fairfax, Va. and I have to say it was the best concert I had ever attended. It was Faith Hill and Tim McGraw on the Spontaneous Combustion Tour. Faith Hill is my favorite female country artist. She is not only a fantastic singer, but a fantastic person as well! The pictures below are thumbnails, just click on each picture to see the full size! I don't mind showing the pics, but please, do not download for your own site, that is copyright infringement! *A special note-My daughters favorite artist is Faith, and she has followed her career and knows a lot about Faith, when Faith chose literacy as her charity, my daughter started to do things to help with literacy. She has tutored children at her school and in our neighborhood. She has recently been accepted to the college of her choice and is majoring in Education. Sometimes famous people can have a negative impact on our young, but Faith is different. I am glad my daughter chose her as a famous role model.

| Faith And The General Join Forces
Faith Hill and General Colin Powell have joined forces to start a nationwide book drive to support literacy programs for U.S. children and youth. The drive is a parternship between Hill's Family Literacy Project and Powell's America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth. Faith's first headline-tour, sponsored by Cracker Barrel Old Time Country Store and CMT, which kicks-off April 9th in Minneapolis, will launch the drive. Fans are being asked to donate new or "gently used" books at concerts along the 20-city route, in return for a chance to meet her. Concert stops will include St. Louis, Indianapolis, Chicago,
Kansas City, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Salt Lake City and Boise. The May 1st show at the Greek
Theater in Los Angeles will also feature Deana Carter. |

My daughter and I participated in the book drive at the concert, and we were the luck winners to go backstage and meet Faith! I was so excited for Renee! Renee held up a sign "Sing ME" and Faith came out and said this is for you and pointed right at Renee! It was an unforgettable night for us! |
